It seems TSM | MINI GT is expanding their 1:64 assortment. First images of the pre-production model have surfaced. From what we gathered the replicas with feature authentic details, metal-sealed design and the trailer will be able to be separated from the main truck. No word on release date was provided, we suspect early Q2 2019.

What I have observed for the past few months:
1:18 scale – There are increasingly more resin releases from various brands while the major ones are venturing into diecast composite or sealed diecast metal instead.
1:64 scale – A lot of brands are now making highly detailed models in this scale which used to be, and still is I believe, the domain of Tomica Limited Vintage.
It is rather sad to see the current trend in the 1:18 scale but if you are into 1:64, now is perhaps the golden age.

Why is TSM wasting time on product like this when they seem incapable of bringing the 2019 Fort GT in race trim to market after two years????? Samples shown at Nuremburg in 2018…. what is the problem??
