The 2025 German Toy Fair, held annually in Nuremberg, is one of the most significant events in the toy industry, drawing collectors, manufacturers, and enthusiasts from around the world. This year, diecast scale models are expected to take center stage as more brands showcase their latest offerings, capturing the attention of hobbyists and model collectors alike.
Diecast model cars, trucks, planes, and other vehicles have long been a staple in the world of scale model collecting. At the 2025 fair, some of the biggest names in diecast manufacturing, such as Solido, Kyosho, LCD Models, are unveiling new releases, while smaller, boutique brands are also stepping up with detailed, limited-edition models that cater to both seasoned collectors and newcomers.
This year, diecast companies are focusing on more realistic detailing and innovative designs. Expect to see more vehicles inspired by iconic cars, trucks, and planes from both history and popular culture, often presented in limited-run series that make them highly desirable for collectors.
One emerging trend is the ability to customize models. Many companies are introducing DIY kits or offering personal engraving options, allowing collectors to add a personal touch to their diecast vehicles.
As sustainability continues to influence the toy industry, many manufacturers are beginning to incorporate eco-friendly materials into their diecast models, such as recycled metals or packaging designed for minimal environmental impact.
Another exciting trend is the integration of interactive technology into diecast models. Some brands are offering vehicles with motion-sensing lights, sound effects, or even the ability to connect to apps for a more immersive experience.
The 2025 German Toy Fair promises to be a pivotal moment for diecast scale models, with manufacturers setting new trends that will influence the hobby for years to come. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the world of diecast models, this year’s fair is sure to offer something exciting for everyone.

Is that a new 1/18 Bugatti Veyron SS I see? Hopefully someone picked up Autoarts old casts, and can make the grand sport and grand sport vitesse in full opening with the correct proportions! Since AA never seems to do so, and all resin models are totally of on shape..
It is on Eligor’s stand. They do 1:8 scale models that you subscribr for and get the bits and pieces over a period of time. The one on the picture looks more like 1:12.
Thank you.
The Veyron is a 1:8 .
Always great to see the photos…thank you very much!!!
Several things stood out to me…
First…the MiniGT Senna collection. Disappointing if that is it…a few shifter carts, a Mercedes and maybe an NSX? I really hoped to see Senna’s first F1 win Lotus 97T (in full JPS markings), and a few McLaren Formula 1 as well. Maybe I missed further clarification on what they may produce, or they are having licensing holdups on anything else?
Second…that 1970 Dodge Challenger and Chevy Camaro from Ottomobile. Nice work Ottomobile!! I’ll take sealed resin with decent proportions over any previously released metal and opening diecast of either of these. And great choice on the Challenger color for the first release.
Great to see Norev working on what looks to be base model 992 Carrera and Cabriolet opening models.
Any news about 1/64 models? I saw a picture on instagram with resin example of F80, 12 cilindri, F40, SF90 XX but I don´t find more info.
no AA?
Nope. They haven’t attend in a number of years.
Any more pictures of the Norev section? What is that yellow 964 poking out in one of the photos?
Looks to be an opening Speedster, fantastic. Pictures posted in the Bburago section in error?
Yes.
Wonderful! Maybe that’s a sign that Norev is going to fully utilize their 964 platform and perhaps make a Carrera RS and Turbo variant too. I mean, why not? You can make the entire line of 911s for any generation with minimal changes and make a killing where opening versions don’t already exist. If they take that idea and do a 993 line after the 964s then Norev
Are there more photos of otto and gt spirit?
last year there was a shelby gt500 eleanor from eligor in 1/8, how can i buy it?
Looking at the Porsche Spider RS by Norev, I can say just: wow!
When Norev had added perforated metal grilles to 1:18 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992), it was already cool. Now, these accurate and serious hinges in the Spider RS are proving that Norev continues to perfect!
I can only welcome these improvements – and with more scale models like these I will definitely have more Norev models in my collection!
Spyder RS, I mean.
Ya, 100%. They just keep on getting better! Our favorite brand!
Is the Jaguar red Norev 1:18 ?
Both E-Types are 1:12 scale models.
It’s cool as heck to see the American cars from Ottomobile. Can’t wait for them to be released. Thanks for the post/pictures.
While it’s interesting to see a SEAT rally car in 1/18, too bad that Ottomobile is making it in sealed resin. It will be sweeter still when someone makes a 1/18 SEAT rally car in fully opening die cast. Preferably the Cordoba!
I am sorry to say that there is nothing thrillingly new beyond previously announced models for my collection in this year’s Nuremberg toy fair. So future additions to my collection will probably be from manufacturers that do not attend. Nuremberg seems to be losing relevance, the music now playing at Asian expositions where Almosr Real, Autoart, Motorhelix and LCD reveal their novelties.
100% agree with the exception of the Audi Quattro Concept.
Schuco ?
They are there! And there is no more Schuco, it’s SPARK :)
I thought I saw something about a 1/12 Aston Martin DB 5 by Norev.
Yes, the photo above.
Anyone familiar with Hing Hung toys? That lambo doesn’t look bad but not enough photos to really be sure. Also, any updates on EVA brand and their Aventadore SVJ with CMC quality detail?
“EVA”, that’s the brand! We were discussing HHT and got EVA mixed up with them. No updates to share. We’re still awaiting a production sample they promised to send.
Countach from Hing Hung Toys is expected to go on sale around July this year. The details are comparable to LCD from what I was told and the model is diecast.
As for EVA, I read on a Chinese forum that they are dead.
Poor EVA. That must of invested thousands in R&D. Hopefully they sold the rights to MotorHelix!
TSM , curious they are making BMW touring full opening ?
never seen full opening models by TSM

What??
Ixo with only three (3) models … ??
Let me tell you, this exhibition makes no sense, since manufacturers hide a large part of their models…
We’re sure there was more on display. That is all IXO shared.
Considering the amount of people into exotics/super/hypercars on here I am surprised that nobody is talking about the Pagani Utopia, which Pocher are releasing in 1/8 scale. LCD are releasing it in 1/18, but this year they have added the Roadster version. Also, for me personally the biggest news is the shown Pagani Zonda C12 in 1/18 from LCD, which has been kinda the missing link so far.
Hello,
Wasn’t CMC exhibiting or announcing anything at Nuremberg this year?
CMC hasn’t been at the fair since at least two years.
Okay, thanks (that said, could they have come back?).
