Fronti-Art 1:18 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren?

Images have surfaced of a potential future release from Fronti-Art of a fully opening, high-detail replica of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.  Fully access cars from Fronti-Art are rare.  And when they do come available the price isn’t for the faint of heart.  I don’t know about you, but this seems oddly similar to the old CMC piece with updated wheels.  The conjecture is mounting…

Yer and cmc’s were made with the good only days .

The interior leather really looks strikingly similar, the rest… well, it’s not that apparent, but the interior really looks the same.

Can’t I just buy a set of wheels with bigger rims to retrofit on my CMC? Haha

  3. spikyone says:

Not even close to being the same. There are lots of differences to the CMC – no doglegs for the boot, different engine detail, and all the panel creases are much sharper on the FA suggesting it’s still an opening resin. Panel fit and paint look nicer on this too, the metallic flakes on the CMC were noticeably too big. And that’s just the obvious stuff.

From those photos it looks like this will be superior in most areas, but then it’ll probably cost about 3-4x what the CMC cost when it came out.

from what i know they also plan version under the Avanstyle line

  5. Roger Lodge says:

These are easily superior to the CMC. This will obviously cost an arm and leg, but it will likely be similar in price to what the silver CMC version has been fetching on ebay these days. It makes for a simple choice if you’re in the market for one.

Could’ve done a model of the SLR 722 or Stirling Moss instead. But hey this definitely wont be cheap

I see an opening One:1 at the back haha

  8. Yuri says:

The interior surprisingly looks like crap.
