You may have seen some photos surface on the Internet over the last 24 hours. A new model, the Aston Martin DB4, and new brand called 12 Art Fine Model Cars; is confirmed a sub-brand of Martix Scale Models. You guessed it, the focus is on 1:12 scale with a little more. The more equals steerable front wheels, high-quality resin, and high-end exterior finishes. The Aston Martin example features authentic wire wheels too. This model is scheduled to arrive this coming June. Retail is suggested at $274US.

Looks to be very, very good, and probably a bit more detailed than the VERY similar DB5 model from GT Spirit. However…… this new model is of a late series DB4 which is almost identical to a DB5. This was NOT a very smart choice. They could have, and should have modeled a series one DB4 which has many more differences including a slightly shorter wheelbase, and numerous other visual differences. So we have a nice model of a very disappointing version choice.
Agreed about the odd choice. The more distinctive (and I think better looking) first edition of the DB4 (or perhaps the Zagato) would have been more desirable. I have the DB5, and would not feel inclined to add this one…..
Yes, totally agree. Also have the GT-Spirit DB5 and mustsay this adds to little. I like the newer DB5 over this late DB4 anyways.
